Consequences

Has anyone realised that everything comes at a consequence?

No matter how good we may be doing, anything that we do remotely bad has a consequence. It is so hard to be good all the time, so if we want to do anything 'bad' we always have to be careful of the consequence of that doing. I am not saying there shouldn't be consequences but it would be nice to get a break once in a while.

Outfit Idea - Chilly Summer Evening Date?

Going on a summer nights date?

I wanted to put together an outfit idea for the now ending summer...
So you're going out on a date (lets say) and you don't want to carry say a jumper because you want to have your hands free to be able to hold your other half (how cheesy) and point to the buildings around you (?), The way I came about to choosing this outfit and the accessorizes that will go with it was simply choosing a dress that will be comfortable to wear in summer but warm enough to wear in the evening when it gets rather chilly, especially since we are approaching the end of September and the lucky few who are still on holiday will need something to wear.

The dress that I have chosen is from Zara, it has embroidered flowers and the biggest turn on ever, the dress is satin! Now, the price of this dress is £79.99 which is pricey, regardless of the pricey
price tag I think it is an absolute win! The other plus side is that you can wear this dress throughout the year so really you're making an investment. The clutch I have chosen is also from Zara, it has a gold clasp frame. The price of this little gem is only £29.99! Last but not least the shoes that I have chosen to accompany my date outfit are these beautiful platforms from ASOS! They have this cool suede look which makes them all the more interesting, especially since they are only £40!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Wishlist - Battle Of The Metal - Ankle Boots

I know I haven't blogged in a while but I have been so busy with university and settling into all my subjects that I didn't have enough time to just sit down and write. However, I am back!

So I wanted to start of by showing you guys my new love...
Metal + Boots = KAPOW?!!!

That equation probably doesn't make any sense but believe you will have to agree that metal on boots makes them way more interesting to see, to wear and to own! It doesn't really matter if the 'metal' is plastic but looks metal because we get the same cool and chic effect. The boots that I have chosen as my top 5 have really stood out to me, they may all have different price tags but, honestly, no matter how much you are willing to spend you will not be wasting money.. just call it an investment.

June 2013 GlossyBox

In Order Of Appearance:
1.Nuxe - Huile Prodigieuse OR
2.Figs & Rouge - Coco Rose
3.Mememe Cosmetics - 96 Pensive
4.Monu Professional Skincare - Hydrating Moisturizer SPF 15
5.Helen E Cosmetics - Shimmer Eye Powder

Hey Guys!
So! I received the summer box and boy was I happy. I kept waiting for my post man all week where he would just deliver silly letters than on saturday ta da it came wooo.
Okay so as you can see the products are very colorful, really summery and in super cute packaging. I am wearing the nail polish on my nails right now and its basically the exact same color as it is in my photo (sometimes the color you expect a nail polish to be ends up being... something else). I have yet to try out these products as I have only tried out two (the eye shadow and nail polish). The really interesting aspect of 1,2 and 4 is that they have multiple uses! So the Nuxe oil can be used for your hair, face and if you want to illuminate any parts of your body. The lip balm can be used as a lip balm (obviously) eye shadow, and hand cream (or any other dry bits that you forgot to moisturize in the morning). Finally the shimmer eye shadow can be used as an eye shadow (duh) and a highlighter! So basically we are set for June with these treasures! Now if only we could be blessed with some sun...

May 2013 GlossyBox

In Order Of Appearance:
Premae Harmony Balm
Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara
Headline Colors Poolside Party nail polish in Spotlight
Beautiful Movements Cosmetics Prime & Create Mixing Medium
Roger and Gallet Fleur de Figuier

Hey Guys!
So these are the beauty treats I have recieved this month! As this is my first GlossyBox I was very impressed with what I have received. My least favourite out of all of this has the nail polish as it chips very quickly and you have to put on quite a few layers before it creates a good layer. It says that it acts as a base and a top coat but really you have to have a separate base coat and they again an top coat to seal the colour. My most favourite product has to be the Harmony Balm as it acts both as an primer and a face cream. It also has antiseptic properties of Aloe Vera that soothe breakouts. I will be repurchasing this after I have finished my little sample.

Were you impressed with this month's GlossyBox?

Boots No 7 Exquisite Curl Mascara Review

BEFORE MASCARA
AFTER MASCARA

Whilst on a recent shopping spree to Boots, I picked up the No 7 Exquisite Curl Mascara. It was bright pink (the packaging) so I instantly fell in love with it!

This is the first time I have tried the No 7 Mascara and after listening to so many people go on and on about them I had to give it a go hehe.

SO, back to business, on the packaging ( or mascara tube, or whatever you guys call it) it says that the mascara gives you beautiful curve and volume so I was like what the heck lets give it a go. The mascara was £11 which is sorta expensive for a drugstore mascara but I got it in a offer so it was no biggie. I got the mascara in black, even though there was a brown option which I wanted to try as well, but I didn't want to load up on the same mascara if it wasn't going to be good.

Now, the next day I was eager to try it to see if it did what it said it did and guess what it did!

The mascara has a large curved wand so that it curls the eyelashes (duh) and I only needed to apply one coat to get the volume and curve! (picture above) Now the good thing with this is that I can build up the volume and the curve but I would need more coats which means that my mascara won't last very long. Another good thing about this mascara is that it does not clump as the bottle removes any excess, it also lengthens my lashes.

I have used it for four weeks now and I definitely can see that I need to dip the wand in a few times and apply to my eyelashes before I can get the (picture above) result. The staying power is also very impressive as it does last all day and does not flake away!

My solution = use different mascaras (even though I really love this one)

I would definitely recommend No 7 Mascara as it really does what it says on the tube/packaging so head out and by yourself one!

Its also hypo-allergenic!

(sorry for the MASSIVE black hole)

Shopping on Easter Sunday spells DISASTER

After working I decided to do some last minute shopping for my flight on Monday, I needed some beauty essentials so I was really hoping to hot the big superdrug on Oxford Street and go crazy...,

I regret to inform you that did not happen. As it is Easter Sunday the majority of shops seem to have decides to remain closed, but the ones that did remain open we're fast food restaurants ,boots and the odd independent store such as a beauty salon on the kings road

When I arrived on Oxford Street and saw that the superdrug was closed I prayed with all my nonexistent magical powers that the boots would be open..And it was!

However, even though it was open and there did seem to be a lot of staff, the store was in absolute chaos! This really disappointed me as it was just minor things like having extra people on hand at the tills or the staff that were wondering between the aisles doing nothing but smiling could have been stocking up the shelves, this all could have helped the shop run smoother and more efficiently.i was stood in the queue for 20 minutes because only two tills were serving when there should have been more opened.

I know I'm moaning and complaining about the staff but Easter Sunday or not customer service should always 100% and if the main bosses know that it's going to be busy busy busy open more stores don't just have one open on the busiest street in London!

Regardless I would still like to thank you for being open so that I could get my shopping done :)
